Quickie Post - “Join me for Breakfast”
My iPhone alarm clock rang just a ‘little’ early this morning, 5:30am. But despite my lack of sleep, I had an important date! Vancouver’s very own Greg Harper of Breakfast Television was waiting downstairs. I threw on my plush Fairmont house robe and was out the door quicker than an LAS Learjet late for a meeting (which never happens by the way).
Hanging out with Greg was awesome. Within seconds we were preparing Omelettes, joking with travelers and shaking hands with iconic YVR personalities, like the ever so charming, Mr. Bob Washington.. a man never without smile, and definitely not shy to compliment a lady in passing.
A volunteer YVR “Green Coat”, Bob’s career was launched in Winnipeg; and for those of you who owned a TV back in 60’s and 70’s, his beautiful smile and booming radio voice may have serenaded you on many occasion. You may also recognize Bob’s voice as he was “The Voice of K-Tel”, inventors of classic “As-Seen-On-TV" products like the Veg-O-Matic, Universal Knife and the Patti-Matic, + thousands of magical music compilations from the days of John Denver and beyond.
So join us for Breakfast! Myself, The Breakfast TV crew and the infamous Bob Washington as we take you on a mini tour through YVR: Breakfast TV - LIVE@YVR.
